This is a view of the Cellular Jail in Port Blair, Andamans. 'Kalaapani' as the jail was called in the days of British occupation was the scene not only for incarceration of political prisoners during the freedom movement, but also for the Cell authorities to think up incredible and ingenious ways of torture to inflict on the inmates. This is a view from a museum window just across, in the same complex. The red brick you see are the orginal walls of the prison.
